冶金矿产:3#烧结机使用的铁精粉不论是外购还是自产,一个共性就是SiO2含量较高,在6-8%之间波动。生产中混合料的SiO2含量和烧结矿的FeO含量对烧结成品矿的强度均有很大影响。因此根据近年来生产实践制定了3#烧结机生产过程中烧结矿中FeO含量水平的控制,根据精矿粉混合料的SiO2含量,确定烧结矿FeO含量即根据混合料的SiO2含量变更调整配C量,以保持成品矿有足够的强度。当混合料SiO2<7%时,FeO含量控制在8-10%。

也可以通过淬火满足某些特种钢材的的铁磁性、耐蚀性等特殊的物理、化学性能。淬火能使钢强化的根本原因是相变,即奥氏体组织通过相变而成为马氏体组织。钢淬火工艺早的应用见于河北易县燕下都遗址出土的战国时代的钢制。淬火工艺早的史料记载见于《汉书.王褒传》中的“清水焠其峰”。“淬火”在文献上,人们写的是“淬火”,而读起来又称“蘸火”。“蘸火”已成为口头交流的习用词,但文献中又看不到它的存在。也就是说,淬火是标准词,人们不读它,“蘸火”是常用词,人们却不写它,这是我国文字中不多见的现象。
